Role. The new collection of Francesc Rifé

We snuck into Francesc Rifé’s new space, Ri-House, to photograph one of our latest collections, designed by himself: Rol.

Through an austere and strictly geometric vocabulary, takes shape this new family of floor lamps that speaks of simplicity and reflects nostalgia for the minimalism of the 60s. Projected as a cylinder, the lamp is basically constructed through ribbons that wrap around the point of light while a flat metal disc partially covers the top to conceal it. The four wooden legs that elevate and support the body share a rounded flat shape that contributes to its simplicity and overall sense of lightness. The finish of these slats, available in natural or lacquered wood, defines the final identity of the piece and their height allows the minimalist essence of the project to be legible. A design built with materials also suitable for outdoors, which exemplifies the expression of Francesc Rifé’s design under the idea that a good piece of furniture should be simple and combine functionality and emotion.
